Quick and Easy Snack: Avocado Toast

This recipe is quick and easy, only 5-10 minute prep time depending on what exactly you want to add on top! Avocado is known as a super food and provides a lot of benefits to the body. Great fatty acids, more potassium than bananas, lowers cholesterol, and loaded with fiber! This could be a quick and easy snack before practice, during lunch, or afterwards.
1 ripe avocado
2 slices of bread (preferably wheat)
2 oz of extra-virgin olive oil
Salt and pepper (or any seasoning of your choice)
2 tablespoons of Lemon juice
2 oz of Water
Cut the avocado in halves, and pluck the seed out.
Scoop the avocado into a bowl and add your oil, lemon juice, and water and then mash the ingredients together. The consistency of the avocado should be mashed but a little chunky, or for smoother consistency try using a bullet to mix the ingredients.
Toast your bread and then lightly spread the spread all over.
Once you have spread the avocado on, you can your choice of seasonings, red pepper, or bacon on top.
